The Good Smut…I Mean Stuff

Today I plan on delivering the best book recommendation anyone has ever read. I’m totally lying, my brain is fried from the semester. But I intend to convert some book readers!

Behold!!!!

Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire

Book cover for "Beautiful Disaster" by Jamie McGuire. Centered is a glass jar with a butterfly inside it, a starburst of light behind it to the left. At the top it says New York Times Bestseller.

I’m going to go ahead and describe it as a contemporary adult romance novel. Abby Abernathy attends a small town college meeting bad boy Travis Maddox. Are they good for each other, or will her past catch up to her destroying her happiness?? THIS BOOK IS AMAZING. Like most readers when it comes to romance, the smutier the better. I want to sweat and blush while reading. With Beautiful Disaster, I found myself falling in love with the characters, story lines, and the entire series that follows this book. McGuire is a natural writer, she creates a story world and characters that have so much dimensionality that I read Beautiful Disaster at least once a year. I’m not even joking. Every time I read it, I fall more and more in love with the novel.

The one con this book has is our main character, Abby. Overall, she’s great as the lead, but she can be a little annoying. She goes through that whole I don’t need Travis even though he’s my soulmate bullshit. Abby thinks she needs to get away from her past and stay away from bad boy Travis with an infinite amount of love for her.

I am going to give this book a solid 10/10 Mustachios
